Ayesha contacted our service in November 2013 for support with getting into college (fashion course) and part time work. She left college in Oct 2013 because her tutor at the College advised that she will not be able to cope with the course.
She has been receiving support from YDES to gain employability skills, create opportunities, confidence and self-awareness for her goal – a career in Fashion and Textiles.
Ayesha received further joint support via our project with a mentoring programme for 6 months and an employment agency, which helped her boost her confidence, self-esteem, self-awareness and she then managed to secure a part-time position with a renowned retailer – Marks & Spencer’s as a Merchandiser.
Ayesha started college in September 2014 which will be her first stepping stone in achieving her ultimate goal. YDES will continuously support her with her journey.
